JOB PURPOS

EJanes Equipment Intelligence analysts play a crucial role in building structured data content covering in-service and developmental weapon systems, platforms and sensors. Our Weapons Team is looking for a new staff analyst to work on our strategic weapons data, building on decades of researched content helping to make it more relevant, interactive and integrated with our wider content

• ESAnalysing our existing strategic weapons content and repackaging the data into our new graph database-powered customer porta
• l;Researching a fascinating subject area, spanning cruise and ballistic missiles, and weapons of mass destruction technologie
• s;Working in a team to build connections between families of equipment and other content area
• s;Maintaining, updating and improving the accuracy of weapon system specification
• s;Building personal expertise in strategic weapon systems and other equipmen
• t;Sourcing and helping create imager
• y;Representing Janes at events and dealing directly with customer queries in your fiel

THE IDLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THIS R

• OLEA personal interest in defence equipment and a basic understanding of strategic weapons and underlying missile technologi
• es;A background understanding of strategic arms control initiatives and treaties would be advantageous, but this is an equipment and technology-focused role, so would not suit somebody interested purely in policy and international relatio
• ns;Educated to degree level, ideally with a second qualification in a relevant area, or equivalent experien
• ce;Ability to understand and work within a data-heavy environment. Experience of data modelling would be useful, but training can be given to the right candida
