Supply Chain Business Analyst

Overview

Position Reports To: Director- Global Supply Chain Excellence & Architecture.

Job Location: Bangalore.

Purpose of the Position:

• To be the Global Anchor between Business and Data warehouse Teams on Data Intelligence and Performance Reports within a Functional Area of Supply Chain Management.
• Co-ordination of Report requests and developments in co-operation with Backend and Frontend developers.
• Translating Business Reporting Needs to Data Structures, Measure definitions and Frontend Design, including Data source Identification and Test Cases.
• Develop Operational and Ad Hoc reports for Business use in Supply Chain.
• Performing Business Analytics and Root Cause Analysis on Performance Metrics.
• Supporting Business Process Communities with Data Reports and Analytics.
• Supporting Master Data Governance Reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject-matter expert for SQL-based analytics across supply chain data.
• Develop operational reports through SQL and maintain in Supply Chain Report Catalogue.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries involving large datasets and manage advanced SQL logic using CTEs, window functions, subqueries, and performance tuning techniques.
• To manage Report requests from Operations.
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and data validation of Performance Reports.
• Evaluate and Communicate Results from Performance Reports.
• Develop Operational Reports for specific Business Need.
• Evaluate and Request Master data updates based on Governance Reports.

Competencies:

• Strong Analytical Skills, End to End Supply Chain knowledge, Deep knowledge on ERP system and Master data setup.
• Preferable experience from Manufacturing, Logistics Operations in KK or Larger Manufacturing Company.
• Strong understanding Data Structures in ERP System e.g. Bill of Materials (BOM) structures & SQL-based BOM explosion logic.
• Good Communication skills are preferable.
• Experience from Power BI or similar Frontend Data Reporting Tool is expected.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced SQL (complex queries, performance optimization).
• Strong experience with:
• CTEs, window functions, correlated subqueries.
• Query optimization and performance tuning.
• Data validation and reconciliation logic.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Development of Dashboards, Advance Designs, Measures build up and working with Multiple Data Sources.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365, etc.).

Educational background:

• BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Electrical or Master level.

Years of Experience:

• 8 to 12 Years. Business Experience from Global Manufacturing Company Preferred.
