Job Summary:

Join the adrenaline rush of the sports tech world! As a hybrid Technical Support/Developer, you'll ensure our platforms run smoothly during high-stakes moments—from matchdays to live interactive products. When support queues are quiet, you’ll shift focus to developing and enhancing features that bring fans closer to the game.

Responsibilities:

● Provide timely technical support for our sports-based web products, which range from interactive Match Centres to Analytical products.

● Resolve live issues during major sports events with precision and urgency.

● Monitor system health and user activity during peak periods of sports engagement, while also tracking and managing infrastructure usage and deployment.

● Collaborate with engineers to squash bugs and enhance performance.

● Contribute to sprint stories—improving UI/UX, creating and enhancing data feeds, or developing new features and products.

● Write robust, reusable Python code and contribute to front-end interfaces

● Document solutions and build knowledge bases.

● Understand and utilise AI tools and applications for troubleshooting and product development.

Requirements:

● 5 to 7 years of proven experience in customer support or success leadership roles.

● Proficiency in Python and experience with event-driven programming

● Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern front-end library (React, Angular, or Vue)

● Strong understanding of RDBMS systems, especially MySQL.

● Familiarity with real-time data systems, APIs, and fan engagement technologies.

● Previous experience in customer or application support, especially in a live environment is a big plus.

● Git-based version control; experience with Agile sprint cycles

● Strong debugging and communication skills under time pressure

● Willingness to work shifts including weekends and matchdays

● Proficient in creating Tech documentation and knowledge bases.

● Knowledge of operating systems: Especially Linux/Unix environments

● The position involves working with global teams and will require flexibility with working hours to accommodate different time zones

Desirable:

● Experience with sports data is a plus.

● Familiarity with setting up and managing cloud infrastructure.

● Passion for sports and understanding of game timelines.

● Exposure to DevOps workflows and observability tools.

● Experience using observability platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, or Sentry.
