Role Overview

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and configuring computer systems, networks, and virtualization, proactively monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity. You will be required to contribute to continuous improvement efforts, implement backup and disaster recovery procedures, and provide technical guidance to ensure optimal IT infrastructure operation.

Responsibilities

As a System’s Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for maintaining and configuring computer systems, networks, and virtualization for reliable operation.
• Proactively monitor server logs and network performance to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and collect data on virtual platform capacity and customer demands.
• Escalate operational and environmental issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and ensure data protection and disaster recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, provide technical guidance, and ensure integrity of data storage systems.

What We Need

• WS virtualized servers and networks
• In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
• Hands on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB
• Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
• Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
• Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
• Experience in scripting and automation tools
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans

Education Qualifications & Years of Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of Database Administrator, Network Administration, and System Administration experience.
