System Administrator

Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Mid-Level System Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing both Windows and Linux systems, working with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and supporting production environments. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, monitoring, and improving our system performance, uptime, and security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Deploy and manage IIS web servers for hosting web applications.
• Support and manage Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Provision, monitor, and manage resources in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for repeatable and scalable environments.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and availability; resolve incidents and proactively address issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, and security hardening on all systems.
• Assist with backup and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Document processes, architectures, and procedures to ensure operational continuity.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a systems administration or IT infrastructure role.
• Strong expertise with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.
• Proficient in configuring and managing IIS (Internet Information Services).
• Solid experience administering Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms – Azure and AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Azure VMs, Azure Networking).
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and operational tasks.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Familiarity with security best practices, firewall rules, and system hardening.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
• Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Certification(s) in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Linux (preferred but not required).
