Overview
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and system infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations.
- Perform regular system upgrades and patches.
- Set up security policies for users, including a firewall, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Maintain backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Support the day-to-day IT needs of internal teams, including laptops, printers, and software setup.
- Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
- Experience with virtualization (e. g., VMware, VirtualBox).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e. g., Nagios, Zabbix).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) is a bonus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with endpoint management and MDM tools.
- Understanding of DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, etc. ) is a plus.
