System Administrator

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for
• maintaining and upgrading our computer systems and networks. You will be responsible for installing,
• configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, ensuring that our systems operate efficiently and
• securely. You should have experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems and be able to
• quickly diagnose and resolve issues. Additionally, you should be able to manage and maintain user accounts
• and permissions, ensuring that our systems comply with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues
• Monitor system performance to ensure that it operates efficiently
• Create and maintain user accounts and permissions
• Ensure that systems are backed up and data is recoverable
• Perform routine maintenance on hardware and software, including updating and patching
• Respond to requests for technical assistance from users
• Manage and monitor network security and implement necessary measures to protect against threats
• Develop and maintain system documentation, policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other team members to design and implement new systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V
• Experience with backup and recovery systems
• Familiarity with network protocols and security
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
