What can you expect in a Systems Architect role with TaskUs:

Think of yourself as someone who will provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and best practices, so not just anyone is qualified for this role!

You will partner with IT teams and senior business leaders to provide strategic consultation for business process design/optimization, creating strategic road maps, performing rapid prototyping and implementing technical solutions to accelerate the fulfillment of the business strategic vision.

Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that you will present strategic recommendations to senior leaders from Business and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize the existing architecture. You will be researching, testing, and evaluating new

technologies.

  • You will be providing the POCs and product implementation guidelines. You will be advising and mentoring engineering teams.
  • You will need to apply imagination and innovation by creating, inventing, and implementing new or better approaches, alternatives and breakthrough ideas that are valued by customers within the function.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies (AI, Automation, Cloud etc.) and trends with a clear focus on productivity, ease of use and fit-for-purpose.
  • You will also assess the current state of solutions, define future state needs, identify gaps and

recommend new technology solutions and strategic business execution improvements.

  • You will oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection technology and product standards,

and the design of standard configurations/implementation patterns.

  • You will partner with other architects and solution owners to create standards and set strategies for the enterprise.
  • You will communicate directly with business colleagues on applying Digital Workplace

technologies to solve identified business challenges.

  • Monitors and supervises the activities of the Implementation and Process teams to ensure the

fulfillment and milestones of the project.

  • Delegates specific jobs to be performed by each incumbent in compliance with internal and

external customer requests or as required by circumstances.

  • Maintains and improves the delivery of efficient systems services to all users within and outside the office premises.
  • Ensures that all technical aspects of a given project are accurately implemented and monitored in a timely manner and provide updates and progress reports.
  • Coordinates with systems and telecommunications service providers and / or vendors for acquisition and timely delivery of needed equipment and technical support.
  • Communicates with service providers through different media (i.e. e-mail, phone) and requests for on-site / remote support.
  • Coordinates with the different accounts / functions within the Company and ensures that all

technical requirements are met. Ensures that all technical implementations are met for call center and business process operation's demands.

  • Maintains cordial working relations with vendors and / or service providers to expedite the

processing, acquisition, and delivery of equipment, software and applications

  • Negotiates for the most cost-effective packages for solutions without sacrificing on quality of

services and products acquired.

  • Calibrates with vendors / service providers related to equipment to ensure smooth and

trouble-free operation of Company-wide systems.

  • Keeps abreast of changes in operational settings as dictated by the vendor / service provider, as well as innovations on existing products that better address company needs / requirements.
  • Ensuring all our existing Infrastructure as well as future architectural designs has to be well

documented.

  • Optimize existing Architecture for Desktop/Endpoint Infrastructure or come up with the best

practice architectural design for Endpoints.

  • To be an escalation point from the Engineering and Operations Team for any critical issues that requires Architectural expertise on Systems.

Skills Required

  • Must have 5 to 7 years of architect experience
  • 3 to 4 years cloud experience (any cloud)
  • Strong understanding of how networks work and expert in Windows and Linux Servers Platform
  • Experience with Windows, VMware/VXware, Network, DELL and HP Hardware
  • IAM background is important with Entra ID experience for 3 to 4 years
  • Proficient in Active Directory/DFS/DNS/DHCP/NPS/NTP services
  • Effective people management experience
  • Critical and structured thinking, business acumen, and executive-level influence to formulate and obtain broad support for proposed IT strategies, ability to objectively assess, articulate and constructively debate major strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks and considerations for multiple alternatives and incorporate input from other stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills with active-listening skills.
  • Proven adaptability to shifting project schedules, priorities and assignments; able to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated problem-solver with the ability to cope under pressure and coordinate multiple activities in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Systems, Server and Backup equipment, as well as their installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Must have exposure to or working knowledge of the installation, configuration, and maintenance processes to data equipment and applications.
  • Proven experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance for call center and business process solutions.
  • Proficiency with MS Office/GSuites applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Good understanding and experience of Network technology: MPLS, TCP/IP, VLAN's and other
  • Data Network technologies.
  • Good understanding and experience (is a plus) of voice technology: Voice, PABX, PBX, Switch, Configuration, ACD, IVR, Call loggers, Telephony, IP and IP Telephony. Experience and understanding of the IT Security requirements and Data Protection Regulations including PCI-DSS, ISO27001/2/3, Risk Management frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Time and project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in the English language.
  • Adaptive to changing work schedules and working hours.
  • Customer orientation.
  • Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, Critical thinking, and Analytical skills.
