This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What You'll Do

Maintains, designs, develops and troubleshoots Nonstop Operating system middleware components.

• Works with a project team of systems software engineers on core Nonstop operating system and middleware components.
• Responsible for all stages of software lifecycle development - Design, development and sustaining of middleware for platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
• Reviews and evaluates designs proposals to follow overall systems design, development guidelines and standards.
• Provides domain-specific expertise to other project teams in Nonstop.
• Provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  
  

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Minimum 6-10 years of work experience in core OS components, Middleware.

Knowledge And Skills

• Strong in C and C++
• Good in core Java
• Good in Python
• Good in HPE Nonstop TAL/pTAL
• Good debugging skills
• Teamwork
• Extensive working knowledge and experience in designing and implementing of large-scale systems software and middleware products.
• Extensive experience working with various software systems design tools and languages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowhow of overall system architecture of products and solutions.
• Evaluating processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options with the senior management.
