Job Title: Technical Business Analyst
As a Technical Business Analyst, your role is to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions by translating business requirements into technical specifications. Responsibilities-
1. Requirements Elicitation: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements.
2. Requirement Analysis: Evaluate business requirements and assess their feasibility, impact, and alignment with technical capabilities.
3. Technical Specification: Translate business requirements into clear and detailed technical specifications, including use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
4. Solution Design Support: Work closely with technical teams to provide guidance and support during the solution design phase, ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs.
5. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and constraints associated with technical solutions and propose mitigation strategies.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of business requirements, technical specifications, and solution designs.
7. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to business stakeholders and vice versa, facilitating understanding and alignment.
8. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including reviewing test cases, conducting user acceptance testing, and validating deliverables against requirements.
9. Change Management: Manage changes to business requirements and technical specifications, ensuring that changes are properly documented, assessed, and communicated.
10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization in the requirements gathering and analysis process.
Skills and Qualifications-
- Business Analysis: Strong proficiency in business analysis techniques, methodologies, and tools. Jira/Confluence essential along with significant experience in writing high quality user stories.
- Technical Aptitude: Understanding of software development lifecycle, technical architectures, and technologies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex business problems and propose viable technical solutions.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, testers, and project managers.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in requirements documentation and technical specifications.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and project dynamics in a fast-paced environment.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in documenting business requirements, technical specifications, and solution designs using standard tools and templates.
Experience
- Professional Experience: Experience in business analysis, with exposure to technical environments and projects.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or a related field is typically required. Additional certifications or coursework in business analysis or technical fields may be advantageous.
