Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Technical Lead with expertise in embedded platforms tailored for the semiconductor industry, specializing in Qualcomm processors, Linux kernel internals, BSP development, and device drivers. This role demands strong leadership capabilities to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in embedded systems, lead pre-sales technical discussions, mentor a growing team, and deliver high-quality PoCs and customer projects across global semiconductor clients.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Technical Lead with expertise in embedded platforms tailored for the semiconductor industry, specializing in Qualcomm processors, Linux kernel internals, BSP development, and device drivers. This role demands strong leadership capabilities to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in embedded systems, lead pre-sales technical discussions, mentor a growing team, and deliver high-quality PoCs and customer projects across global semiconductor clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Lead architecture, design, and development of embedded platform solutions on Qualcomm Snapdragon and related SoCs
- Own and guide Linux kernel customizations, driver development, BSP bring-up, firmware updates, and system optimization
- Drive platform upgrades and ensure compatibility across kernel versions and chipsets
- Guide product teams through BSP development, secure boot, and OTA updates for production silicon
- Pre-Sales and Customer Engagement
- Support business development teams with technical presales: proposal building, effort estimation, feasibility analysis, and customer presentations.
- Develop and present proof of concepts (PoCs) aligned with client requirements and product roadmaps
- Centre of Excellence & Capability Building
- Establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Embedded Platforms focused on semiconductor ecosystems, specialized in Qualcomm-based designs
- Hire, mentor, and train engineers on Qualcomm SDKs, kernel debugging, and performance tuning
- Develop structured training programs and onboarding plans for continuous upskilling
- Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead embedded delivery across customer projects involving silicon validation, SDK updates, and BSP integration
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, product management, QA) for seamless project execution
- Innovation and Best Practices
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in embedded systems, real-time OS, and SoC platforms.
- Define and implement best practices, tools, and reusable assets for embedded development.
- Education
- - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience
- 10 –14 years in embedded software development with deep experience in semiconductor-focused projects, with at least 4 years of work experience on Qualcomm platforms.
- Expert in Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs, Linux kernel, BSPs, and device drivers
- Proven record in leading embedded teams and managing customer engagements in the semiconductor sector
- Knowledge of Android system internals (AOSP, HAL, HIDL)
- Familiarity with silicon validation, secure boot mechanisms, and hardware-software co-design
- Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, U-Boot, and cross-compilation toolchains.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
