Overview
Astrome Technologies is at the forefront of innovation in satellite communications and advanced engineering solutions. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager with expertise in space missions to lead and oversee complex programs from conception through execution.
In this role, you will coordinate with multiple stakeholders including engineering teams, customers, and management to ensure that space mission objectives are clearly defined and met. You will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the program, ensuring all milestones are achieved on-time and within budget.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for space mission projects, aligning technical requirements with program objectives.
- Develop, manage, and track project plans, schedules, and budgets for all phases of the space mission.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful collaboration and project execution.
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute comprehensive risk management strategies to address technical and operational risks associated with space missions.
- Lead project reviews, manage updates on project status, and propose corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in space mission management.
- Provide technical insights into design reviews, architecture discussions, and integration approaches for space systems.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to drive successful completion of project deliverables.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the program team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in program or project management, with a strong focus on aerospace or space missions.
- Proven experience managing technical programs, preferably in satellite communications or related fields.
- Strong understanding of satellite technology, space systems engineering, and mission planning.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams toward a common goal.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
