Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Lead – Transport Planning to join our growing Transportation team in Noida/Bengaluru. The team is dedicated to support our UK based business on UK projects. The role will include a range of projects from commercial, retail, and residential through to supporting public sector framework commissions.
Your principal role will be the day to day technical input into a variety of projects as well as project Management of some projects depending on your level of experience. It will involve preparing fee proposals as requested by the lead office in the UK as well as providing quality checking of work prior to Issue of deliverables back to the lead office.
The role will involve occasional travel to our offices in the UK to interact with UK project managers and for specific project work to grow your network and to generate sustainable long-term workflow for the team.
The role will involve the recruitment of new team members and line management duties for the team. Your responsibilities will also include the financial reporting of the team on a monthly basis back to the UK Head.

Responsibilities
- You will be an experienced Engineer/Transport Planner with significant knowledge and hands on post graduate experience. Ideally you will have or be approaching chartered status and have completed an master's in a transport related discipline.
- Someone who is able to contribute to (for larger projects) and pull together from scratch (for smaller projects), Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
- Have experience of access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 agreements, S278 agreements and guidance such as NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines Manual for Streets etc.;
- Someone who can run smaller projects without supervision;
- Someone who has good communication skills and the confidence to speak to the UK lead offices and members of project teams
- Someone who must be able to set up and run PICADY͛s and ARCADYS and have a lot of experience doing so and be able to mentor others in these programmes they are doing and why
- Someone who understands LINSIG and can carry this modelling out for different scenarios understand what
- Experience at complex junction modelling for example TRANSYT
- Someone who understands the principles of microsimulation and strategic models/modelling i.e. experience of PARAMICS, VISUM, VISSIM and SATURN or similar beneficial
- Be capable of carrying out junction design (priority, roundabout, signals);
- Be confident in excel, word, TRICS, TEMPRO Have knowledge of accession, GIS;
- Be able to prepare traffic flow information for use in a Transport Assessment and Environmental Statement;
- Someone who has team leadership skills and can mentor others through performance management and training and development
- Be able to undertake recruitment of new team members in line with the team’s growth targets
- Ideally you will have experience of working in the UK previously and have a clear understanding of Transport Planning requirements in that market.
