Role: Technical Lead Visual Analytics

Location: Bangalore, Gurgaon, Mohali

The Lead BI Analyst will lead the requirement gathering and delivery of reporting and dashboard solutions for a Supply Chain project, working closely with stakeholders in Australia and Europe. This role requires a deep understanding of data visualization using Tableau, Blitz and SQL, along with exceptional communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations across multiple time zones. Drive the end-to-end delivery of dashboards and reports, from scope definition to production deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering:

• Engage with key stakeholders in Australia and Europe to understand and capture the scope and needs for dashboards and reports.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on reporting objectives.

1. Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Use SQL to extract, analyse, and transform data from various systems for use in reports and dashboards.
• Develop advanced Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights for Supply Chain teams, ensuring data is visualized in a meaningful and user-friendly way.

1. Scope Definition & Documentation:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to document detailed requirements, including data sources, business rules, report mockups, and functional/non-functional needs.
• Ensure that dashboards/reports meet the business's strategic goals and provide clarity on how they will solve the identified business problems.

1. Leadership in Dashboard/Report Delivery:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of agreed dashboards and reports, from planning to deployment.
• Manage testing, defect resolution, and production deployment, ensuring reports are fully functional and meet business expectations.

1. Cross-Time Zone Coordination:

• Participate in and run meetings across various time zones, ensuring smooth communication with stakeholders in Australia and Europe.
• Manage project timelines and stakeholder expectations effectively while working with global teams.

1. Testing & Post-Deployment Support:

• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage any defects or issues raised during testing.
• Ensure a smooth transition to production and provide post-deployment support as needed, including managing the service transition to support teams.

1. Reporting Standards & Best Practices:

• Adhere to organization’s Tableau templates and SQL best practices, ensuring all dashboards are built using authorized data sources like AnalyticsHub or GDW.
• Ensure reports and dashboards are fully documented and ready for handover to AMS Managed Service Support.

1. Regular Status Reporting:

• Provide timely progress updates to the Project Manager and Insights team.
• Prepare and present regular status reports and participate in meetings to discuss progress and resolve any challenges.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Senior-level experience in business analysis, especially in data-driven environments.
• Expertise in Tableau for building complex dashboards and SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple time zones (Australia and Europe).
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end reporting and dashboard projects in a Supply Chain or similar domain.
• Strong ability to capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Good to have knowledge on Blitz Reporting Platform or ability to learn platform quickly.
