About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Technical Project Manager to join our growing team in Bengaluru. With over 8 years of dedicated experience, you will be pivotal in leading and managing complex technical projects from inception to successful delivery. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, agile methodologies expertise, and exceptional leadership skills to drive project execution, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Leadership :

• Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Scrum and/or Kanban principles.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs, working closely with product owners and stakeholders to define user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee sprint and release planning, ensuring realistic commitments and smooth coordination of deliverables.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize team efficiency and project timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement within agile teams, fostering a culture of accountability and Project Management :
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical leads.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, developing contingency plans to minimize impact.
• Manage project resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization and team performance.
• Track and report on project budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  
  

Technical Acumen & Oversight

• Possess a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its various phases.
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring solutions align with architectural guidelines and best practices.
• Demonstrate strong awareness and understanding of modern technology stacks, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), DevOps principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant insights to enhance project outcomes.
  
  

Tools & Methodologies Proficiency

• Proficiently utilize project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Aha!, and MS Project for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Leverage collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and Slack to facilitate seamless communication within and across teams.
  
  

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular, transparent, and accurate status reports.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
• Coordinate efforts across multiple cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations, product, etc.) to ensure integrated and cohesive project delivery.
• Prepare and present project updates, progress, and challenges to senior management and other relevant parties.
  
  

Quality Assurance & Metrics

• Oversee test planning and execution, ensuring comprehensive testing strategies are in place.
• Define and track key project metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burn-down, defect rate, lead time) to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical project management roles, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Solid technical background with an understanding of modern tech stacks, including web technologies, databases, and APIs.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS or Azure, including concepts of CI/CD and DevOps.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Teams, Slack).
• Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and deliver under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications.
• Experience with Aha! for product roadmapping and portfolio management.
• Exposure to emerging technologies like AI/ML, Blockchain, or IoT.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
