Overview
We are looking for a sharp, talented and energetic Technical Program Manager. As a FinTech TPM, you have the ability to deliver large cross-organisational software development projects at the intersection of e-commerce and payments. Building financial services is not easy, but you know what it takes to pull it off.
What you’ll be doing:

What you’ll be doing:
- Interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders to define and deliver the projects.
- Lead end-to-end program management for strategic technical initiatives, from inception to successful delivery.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale SAP programs (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, timelines, status reports, risk mitigation strategies and issue logs.
- Drive alignment across technical and business teams, ensuring SAP solutions meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
- Develop and manage detailed program roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and features.
- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Track program performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and report progress to leadership.
- Apply best practices to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using very different approaches
- Drive continuous improvement in program execution and communication processes.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, policies, and best practices.
- Build and maintain integrated project schedules that account for internal/external dependencies, differing SDLC approaches and numerous constraints
- Be the driving force that collaborates with business and technical teams across Booking to make sure your teams deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible - all the while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 5-7 years of experience in Technical Program Management with at least 3 years focused on SAP implementations.
- The role requires experience working with ERPs like SAP/Oracle in Financial modules like Record to Report, Tax, Treasury processes, and a strong understanding of the requirements of this domain. Experience in Leading the delivery of technical solutions to business problems as cross-team initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira, SAP Solution Manager).
- Experience in ensuring a realistic and objective delivery plan, based on end to end technical solution which is based on data and appropriate delivery metrics.
- Experience in visualising and managing Risks, Issues & Dependencies to enable delivery success
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in owning + driving appropriate common delivery governance across organization with diverse delivery practices and organization culture
- Experience working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment (startup or large-scale enterprise experience is a plus).
- Job location is Bangalore
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations or implementations.
- Certification in PMP, SAP Activate Project Manager, or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, SAFe).
- Knowledge of data migration strategies and SAP security & compliance.
- Experience working with system integrators (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys).
