Technical writer/ Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating, editing, and managing technical documentation that enhances user understanding and supports our products or services. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, product, and marketing teams to deliver clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, FAQs, installation guides, and release notes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), product managers, and engineers to gather technical information.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for various audiences.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with brand voice, style, and formatting guidelines.
• Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and completeness.
• Manage documentation repositories, including version control and updates.
• Research and incorporate feedback from users to improve documentation quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation tools.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in  industry, e.g., SaaS, IT, or Engineering.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with tools such as relevant tools, e.g., Confluence, Jira etc.
• Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of documentation standards, including structure, style, and templates.
• Basic understanding of programming languages, software development lifecycle, or APIs is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience with content management systems (CMS) or version control systems (e.g., Git).

Familiarity with UX writing or content strategy is an added advantage.
