Name of the position: Test Engineer – Vehicle Handling Lab
Purpose of this role
Test Engineer for Vehicle Handling Lab
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate ride and handling performance of new products through subjective and objective assessments
- Test and tune vehicle layout, mass distribution, structural stiffness, suspension, tyres etc. to achieve best in class Ride and Handling performance
- Competition Benchmarking and Target arrival based on HOQ, Customer studies etc. for new products
- Instrumentation, Calibration, Signal Processing and Analysis for vehicle handling testing
- Prepare reports and presentations on testing and vehicle handling development at various stages of NPD cycle
- Development of new testing concepts, test methodologies and rigs for Vehicle handling development
- Develop standards for testing and analysis as well as update existing standards based on new knowledge developed both though internal research as well as research carried out by scientific community worldwide.
- Development, procurement and commissioning of equipment, instruments for competency improvements to meet the needs of future.
- Develop competencies, technologies and innovations to enable continuous improvements in the field of vehicle dynamics.
