Role: Test Lead - Automation
Role Objective:
As a key member of an Agile project team, the Automation Tester holds full responsibility for ensuring that all testing activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with established guidelines, best practices, and the test plan. This role requires the ability to interpret and utilize input from diverse sources to conduct testing for each project increment or release. The position is hands-on, involving the design, scripting, execution, and reporting of comprehensive testing efforts, including the creation and maintenance of relevant test data.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience
An experience of more than 5 years in software automation testing.
Mandatory
- UI Automation: Playwright, C# with BDD
- API Automation: JMeter, SQL
- CI/CD Integration
- Automation framework design and development
- Performance testing experience
Testing Expertise
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with:
- Unit, Integration, System, and Acceptance testing
- Smoke, Regression, Functional, Non-Functional, Usability, Security, and Load testing
- Static, Dynamic, White-box, Black-box, and Visual analysis techniques
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills across the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain test plans and automation scripts for validating software components and business scenarios.
- Select and apply appropriate testing techniques based on context and requirements.
- Ensure quality and accuracy throughout the software release cycle.
- Execute non-functional tests where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to development teams.
- Demonstrate new or updated functionality to internal stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and escalate issues as needed.
- Understand the domain, software architecture, and operating environments.
- Apply strong organizational and analytical skills to improve testing effectiveness.
- Coach and mentor junior QA team members.
