(Patrick) functional architect senior Job Description: Regarding approved linenr 108 As a functional architect, you will be working as solution & application Architect, you play a crucial role in designing and implementing information systems that meet the needs of our organization. You maintain an overview of the products from our Belgian product department, how they collaborate, and how they support our internal and external customers. You have a strong interest in our business processes and are fascinated by how our applications support them. You already have a passion for Payroll & HR, or you feel that you will quickly develop one. For specific cases, you also work more in depth on the problem and the right architecture. You do this in close collaboration with the involved teams. You use your knowledge and experience to think along with any technology that crosses your path. Typically, you will find applications in both .NET and COBOL in our landscape. Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing the applications within our department Identifying improvements within or across the applications Analyzing and understanding business needs and processes Collaborating with involved teams in designing new systems or modifying existing ones Guiding the implementation of new systems and processes Keeping up with developments in the field and advising on possible improvements in systems and processes You will work on .net and mainframe applications Requirements: A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or demonstrable experience Experience with system design and implementation Proven experience with large and complex systems Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication skills Knowledge of business processes You are not a technical expert, but have a broad knowledge of technologies A
