UI Developer

Overview

We are currently looking for a talented UI Development Engineer with around 4+ years of experience who is highly motivated, flexible and experienced to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Must have designed and worked on building large-scale, responsive, intuitive web applications. An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of front-end code and should be able to code the designs supplied by our in-house interaction design team with a fine eye for design details. We are looking for an organised, efficient, detail-oriented team player. With a positive, can-do attitude and an exploration and discovery drive. The ideal team player should share openly and willingly, communicate constructively and work as a problem-solver. You will work with the UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Responsibilities

• Conversion of interaction designs to web apps with utmost attention to detail as per style guides.
• Pixel perfection is key to your success at Pragmatic.
• Work independently with mockup files and the extraction of page element details and individual assets.
• Sit with the development team and look into on-the-fly fixes during design and code integration.
• Set up, review and continuously improve interactive team processes to define, develop and maintain the deliverables.
• Plan for the delivery of modules and projects, gand et them executed by the team.
• Participate in reviews and give/take constructive feedback.
• Create and maintain software documentation.
• Develop new user-facing features.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimise the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Analytical thinking: Capacity to quickly understand game design rules, mechanics, balancing concepts and techniques.
• Creativity: think outside the box, being able to see things from a different perspective.
  
  

• Expert-level understanding and experience in HTML5 CSS3 OO, and JavaScript.
• Should have expertise in frameworks like Bootstrap, Material IO and Foundation.
• Proficient in server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SCSS and LESS.
• Should be a quality champion of the team.
• Strong knowledge of web standards.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser, cross-platform and cross-device compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Experience working in the React ecosystem.
• Knack of adhering to best development and design practices.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT, GITLAB.
• Should have a valid Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  
  

• Experience with design tools like FIGMA, Photoshop, Illustrator or Sketch.
• Experience on Zeplin.
• Texture packer and texture concepts (Sprite sheets creation).
• Understanding of UX, UI Design.
