What does the DevOps Engineer do?

Job Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will help manage, automate, and optimize our cloud-based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, a passion for automation, and a deep understanding of DevOps best practices.

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to support seamless CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-based deployments.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS, Azure, and GCP environments for performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Manage version-controlled infrastructure with Git, ensuring collaboration and rollback capabilities.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor, and GCP Operations Suite.
• Automate security policies and compliance checks for cloud security best practices.
• Work on serverless applications using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for cloud-based environments.
• Document DevOps processes, automation scripts, and troubleshooting guides.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, GCP Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Familiarity with networking concepts, security groups, VPNs, and firewalls in cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging using Prometheus, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor, and GCP logging tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Basic understanding of database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with serverless computing on AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.

• Certification in AWS (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect), Azure (Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect), or GCP (Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect) is highly preferred.
