Role & responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction, architecture, and execution of the product engineering organization, encompassing user experience, user productivity, scale, security, performance, platforming excellence, innovation, and AI / ML integration / automation, data and information integration.
- Own, define, design and execute upon the vision and roadmap for Product Engineering Excellence organization ensuring alignment with overall business goals of accelerated and high-quality product feature development, maintenance, in collaboration with Product, Design, Marketing, and Customer Success, Data Science teams, leadership.
- Build and scale global engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Establish and monitor engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and infrastructure.
- Represent engineering in executive forums, communicating strategy and progress to stakeholders.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the engineering organization.
Candidate requirements:
- Seasoned leader with 20+ years of end-to-end software engineering experience with enterprise-grade software products / SaaS platforms and proven experience in building high-performing engineering teams, preferably with some experience in HealthTech
- Demonstrably strong technical foundation, product mindset, Agile leadership, people management (including coaching, mentoring and fostering career growth of team members
- Ensure high utilization, and healthy profit margins.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Computer Science / Software Engineering – desirable.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native development, including cloud platforms (AWS preferred), microservices architecture, containerization, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
- Exposure to data architecture, analytics platforms, and AI/ML integration.
- Strategic thinking, direction-setting, priority-alignment influencing skills of the highest order
- High-energy, assertiveness, organization / self-governance, goal-orientation, and drive.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
