About the job:

Key responsibilities:

1. Build custom Shopify apps (public/private) and WordPress plugins as per client/project requirements.
2. Develop advanced features such as payment gateways, shipping calculators, product filters, and SEO enhancements.
3. Modify existing Shopify apps and WordPress plugins for compatibility or added functionality.
4. Customize Liquid templates for Shopify and PHP hooks/actions for WordPress.
5. Integrate third-party APIs (CRMs, ERPs, marketing tools, shipping systems) with Shopify and WordPress.
6. Implement webhooks for real-time data synchronization.
7. Optimize plugins for performance, scalability, and SEO compliance.
8. Ensure adherence to security best practices to protect customer and site data.
9. Debug, test, and fix issues in custom or existing plugins.
10. Maintain plugins by keeping them updated with the latest Shopify APIs, WordPress Core, and WooCommerce versions.

Other Requirements:

1. Proficiency in Shopify app development (Liquid, Polaris, API integrations).

2. Strong knowledge of WordPress plugin development (PHP, hooks, actions, filters).

3. Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and webhook implementation.

4. Solid front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).

5. Familiarity with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and backend logic.

6. Hands-on experience with payment gateway and shipping API integration.

7. Understanding of SEO optimization within Shopify & WordPress ecosystems.

8. Ability to ensure plugin performance, security, and scalability.

9. Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.

10. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

11. Candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
