Job Description Project Role: Cloud Operations Engineer Project Role Description: Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure environments and/or applications through cross-technology administration (OS, databases, virtual networks, App Services, Key-Vaults, Application gateways), scripting, and monitoring automation execution. Manage incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents and requests. Skills and Qualifications Must-Have Skills: Microsoft Azure IaaS Good-to-Have Skills: AWS, VMware Experience Required: Minimum 6 years Educational Qualification: 15 years of full-time education Summary As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure environments and applications. Your daily tasks will include cross-technology administration involving operating systems, databases, and virtual networks. You will focus on scripting and automation monitoring to ensure effective incident management with a strong emphasis on service restoration. Key responsibilities include: - Administering Azure Active Directory for user management, authentication, authorization, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) - Managing user access and security through role-based assignments, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and resource groups - Configuring and maintaining Azure Key Vault for secure handling of secrets, keys, and certificates - Monitoring system health and troubleshooting issues using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics Workspace - Designing Azure Monitor-based solutions for proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability across cloud and hybrid environments - Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide technical guidance and ensure alignment with organizational goals - Staying current with Azure technologies and best practices to continuously enhance cloud infrastructure and data architecture Roles & Responsibilities - Expected to perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Actively participate and contribute in team discussions - Provide solutions to work-related problems - Assist in the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure best practices - Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance Professional & Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS - Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services - Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python - Familiarity with incident management and service restoration processes - Knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols - Deep expertise in Azure Active Directory, RBAC, IAM, and security management - Experience configuring and managing Azure Key Vault for secure secrets management - Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation on Azure - Expertise in monitoring and diagnostics using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics - Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, CLI, or similar tools - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills - Experience with Azure Application Gateway for traffic load balancing and web application firewall (WAF) configuration - Proficiency in managing Azure App Service for hosting web applications and APIs - Knowledge of Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN) for optimizing content delivery - Experience with Azure Front Door for global HTTP/HTTPS load balancing and application acceleration - Advanced skills in managing Azure Key Vault for secure storage of secrets, keys, and certificates - Expertise in configuring and managing Conditional Access Policies in Azure Active Directory for secure access control Additional Information - The candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS - This position is based at our Noida office - A 15-year full-time education is mandatory
