About the job:

We are expanding our development team and looking for a dedicated professional to manage our key website projects. We are seeking an experienced website developer with 0-1 year of professional development experience focused on WordPress and Shopify platforms. This is an in-office position where you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of client websites, ensuring they are functional, responsive, and aligned with client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

A. WordPress development:
1. Design, develop, and maintain custom and theme-based WordPress websites.
2. Create, customize, and manage WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
3. Ensure all WordPress sites are secure, up-to-date, and optimized for performance (speed, caching).
4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including plugin conflicts, database errors, and cross-browser compatibility.

B. Shopify development:
1. Develop and customize e-commerce stores on the Shopify platform.
2. Proficiently use Shopify Liquid templating language to build and modify custom themes.
3. Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and payment gateways to enhance store functionality.
4. Optimize Shopify stores for fast load times and a seamless user experience (UX/UI).

C. General web development & collaboration:
1. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices.
2. Ensure all websites are fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
3. Utilize version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
4. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and content writers to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
5. Provide estimates for development tasks and manage time effectively to meet client deadlines.

4. Expertise in Shopify Liquid templating language.

5. Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques and basic SEO best practices.

6. Solid understanding of responsive design principles and testing methodologies.

7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and take ownership of development tasks.
