Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as Senior Java Full Stack Developer with good experience on Java/J2EE, UI (Angular, Javascript, Typescript), technologies to join a technologically advanced team. You must have expertise in leading design and development of multi-tiered Java EE-style applications. You should be fluent in spring, databases, and database interface layers and associated Java development tools.

WM_Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.

WM Product Technology

Wealth Management Product Technology (WMPT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm’s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans, and tailored lending. Software Engineering

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

• Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that are coupled with strong communication, anticipates issues and deals with them proactively.
• Has a good working understanding of Scrum methodology and DevOps implementation.
• Deep familiarity with modern software development and design concepts encompassing a range of languages and platforms.
• Can own small to medium scale strategic initiatives/projects, enhances process standards and best practices and supports production issues for currently live systems.
• Understands business needs and priorities and provides thought leadership on potential solutions and the opportunities for technology to create positive impact on the business.
• Is team oriented, highly collaborative, works effectively to build strong long-term partnerships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across a variety of business and IT functions.
• Self-sufficient and shows ability to lead, given the opportunity
• Demonstrates a passion for technology innovation balanced with a pragmatic approach to developing and deploying solutions that best benefit the business.

Primary Skills

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Java & Spring Boot: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring (Core, Aspect, Boot, Batch).
• Front-End Development: Proficiency in Angular 2+, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Web Services: Experience with XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, Microservices, and Tomcat.
• Agile & DevOps: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps integration.
• Enterprise Applications: Knowledge of security, entitlements, and requirements for large-scale applications.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities.
  
  

Secondary Skills / Desired Skills

• Node.js: Familiarity with server-side JavaScript development.
• Financial Services Knowledge: Good understanding of financial products and the industry.
