Wind Data Analyst

Overview

• Collect and validate long-term wind measurement data from met masts, LiDAR/SODAR systems, SCADA Data from operational wind farm and other onsite sensors.
• Conduct comprehensive QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of wind data.
• Perform wind flow modelling and micrositing using tools such as WindPRO, WAsP, OpenWind, and Meteodyn.
• Carry out loss assessments, uncertainty analysis, and Annual Energy Production (AEP) estimations including P50/P75/P90 calculations.
• Optimize turbine layouts to maximize overall energy yield and project performance.
• Execute site suitability assessments and support the turbine selection process.
• Carry out operational wind farm due diligence based on SCADA data
• Prepare detailed reports for Energy Yield Assessments (EYA), due diligence, and Detailed Project Reports (DPR).
• Support project design optimization and contribute to technical documentation during bid and proposal phases.
  
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2+ Years of Experience in handling windfarm projects, specifically in wind resource assessment, Micrositing, Energy Yield Assessment and Site Suitability Assessment
• Understanding of IEC 61400 standards and MEASNET guidelines
• Strong analytical and statistical skills.
