Who you are
You are a motivated and aspiring product manager driven to contribute towards reducing our collective environmental footprint. You work independently whenever required and are comfortable in a flexible, fast paced start up environment. At Revalu, you will be a vital part of a diverse cross-disciplinary team building and growing a start-up, on a mission to decarbonise the building industry.
What you will do
We’re looking for an ambitious and proactive intern to support our product management and agile development processes. This unique opportunity will allow you to work closely with founders, product designers, engineers, and marketing teams— gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle in a startup environment. You will help manage sprints, process user feedback, prioritize features, and keep our product delivery aligned with our mission and users' needs. You are ideally based in (or ready to move to) Hyderabad, India. You will be supporting and reporting to our CPO.
This role is ideal for a junior with few months of first-hand experience or fresher out from college who is eager to grow their career in Product Management and Agile/Scrum practices within a high-impact startup environment. This role is designed to convert the internship to a full time position after successful completion of the internship.
Your responsibilities will cover (but are not limited to):
Support CPO/Product Owner,
- In developing product strategy, discovering business and product requirements, and bringing in product standardisation
- In collaborating with stakeholders, including business owners, customers, design & development teams, to define product roadmaps, detailed functional requirements and realization plans.
- In translating business requirements and user needs into clear and concise Features with clear acceptance criteria.
- In prioritising and managing the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable Features/User Stories are delivered first and that the backlog is properly groomed and refined on a regular basis.
- In working closely with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of the product vision and requirements, provide guidance, and make informed decisions during the development process.
- In continuously monitoring and evaluating product performance, gathering user feedback, and using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed product decisions.
- In coordinatíng with cross-functional teams (e.g. product/UX designers, domain experts, QA engineers) to ensure successful product release schedule, launch and adoption.
- In acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and the design & development team, facilitating communication and ensuring that expectations are properly managed.
Others,
- Participate and moderate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint refinement and planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives; to drive the iterative development process and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update the sprint board (e.g., in tools like Jira)
- Track sprint progress and help remove blockers by coordinating with stakeholders
- Support in documenting meeting notes, decisions, and action items
- Help manage internal documentation and product knowledge base
- Conduct basic competitor and market research to identify trends and gaps
- Be the customer voice for your scrum team (e.g. software engineers, technical architects, QA engineers) and ensure that they deliver maximum number of features with incremental value.
- Maintain and manage non-functional requirements for the product.
- Monitor and propose priority for Change requests, Bugs, Issues, Defects and various aspects related to Product Standardization.
- Present completed accomplishments to the Business Stakeholders Team at Sprint Demonstrations
- Be a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding to cross-functional teams
You,
- Are passionate about sustainability and eager to dedicate your time and knowledge to create a positive impact
- Have a professional bachelors degree and specialization in computers (e.g. IT, Data) or sustainability studies (e.g. research, management)
- Are fluent in English (C1 level) and have excellent oral communication and writing skills (articulation, critical thinking, presentation)
- Are highly motivated and eager to join in on our journey and grow with us
- Have affinity with startups/the startup ecosystem and thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced startup environment
- Have a high-level of attention to detail
You preferably have,
- Hands-on experience as an intern including working knowledge of the agile methodology and iterative (software) development
- Experience in using Atlassian products like Confluence, Jira; Google Office products like Sheets, Slides
- Ability to self-organize, are structured and can work independently
You stand out if you have,
- Demonstrable working experience as an intern from a sustainability/impact-focused start-up or a project
- Familiarity with concepts of Scrum, Kanban, or lean product development
- Hands on experience as an intern practicing agile methodologies with experience in using tools like Jira, Figma, Miro
- Curiosity about the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry or digital tools for the built environment
