AI Engineer

Overview

Plan A Technologies is looking for an innovative and hands-on AI Engineer with experience working with Open AI Codex or similar code-generation LLMs. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and refining AI-driven solutions that understand, generate, and enhance code, helping us accelerate product development and developer productivity. This role is ideal for someone passionate about combining machine learning, software development, and natural language processing to push the boundaries of how AI can support engineering teams. Please note: you must have at least 3+ years of experience working as an AI Engineer to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design and build AI-powered tools and assistants using Open AI Codex or similar models (e.g., GPT-4 with code focus).
• Fine-tune prompts and workflows for tasks like code generation, code completion, explanation, and refactoring.
• Integrate Codex-based systems into development environments, internal tools, or product features.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify use cases for AI-enhanced development.
• Evaluate and optimize the performance, accuracy, and usefulness of AI-generated code.
• Stay current with advancements in large language models, code intelligence, and generative AI.
• Ensure ethical and secure usage of AI models, particularly in sensitive environments.
  
  

• Experience working directly with Open AI Codex, GPT-4 (code-based applications), or similar code generation models.
• Strong programming background (preferably in Python and JavaScript, but flexible).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and understanding of how language models interact with code-related queries.
• Experience building APIs or tools that interact with AI models.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and clean code practices.
• Ability to evaluate generated code for performance, security, and correctness.
• Experience with IDE integrations or AI-assisted coding environments.
• Background in natural language processing (NLP) or large language models (LLMs).
• Understanding of model fine-tuning, embeddings, and function calling in Open AI APIs.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and agile development processes.
• Experience in user-centric AI product design or developer tools.
• Ability to prioritize and work autonomously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity, creativity, and passion for emerging technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
