About Vaia

Vaia is a tech-enabled sustainability and investment advisory firm building AI-native products at the intersection of ESG, private markets, and intelligent automation. We work with investment firms, family offices, and corporates helping them navigate sustainability and financial decisions using proprietary AI tools and deep domain expertise. We are a small, fast-moving team and every engineer here owns a significant surface area from day one.

The Role

We are looking for an LLM Intern who will primarily work on building high-quality datasets for finetuning and supervised fine-tuning (SFT) pipelines, while also contributing to full stack development across our product suite. This is a hands-on role — you will work directly with the core team on real workstreams and be expected to contribute meaningfully from the start.

What You Will Do

• Collect, clean, and structure datasets for LLM finetuning across ESG and financial domains
• Build and curate SFT datasets including prompt-response pairs, instruction datasets, and evaluation sets
• Assist with finetuning workflows and contribute to our vertical LLM initiative
• Support full stack development tasks across our AI-powered product suite using Python and modern web frameworks
• Work closely with the founding team on live products and real client workstreams

Tech Stack

Familiarity with Python is expected. Exposure to LLM APIs, HuggingFace, or dataset tooling is a strong plus. Basic knowledge of web development or willingness to pick it up on the job is helpful.

Who You Are

• Pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field
• Genuinely curious about how LLMs work under the hood — training, data quality, and evaluation
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasks
• Detail-oriented when it comes to data quality and dataset structure
• Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment
