Job Title: Android Application Developer (Consultancy Project)
Location: VIT University, Vellore (On-site)
Duration: 15 Months (Contractual)
Remuneration: ₹4.8 LPA
Experience Required: 1–3 years
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

About the Role:
We are looking to hire a talented Android Application Developer for a consultancy project at VIT University, Vellore. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building and deploying Android applications and be comfortable working in a cross-functional environment involving electronics integration and AI/ML components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications for the project.
• Collaborate with electronics engineers and AI/ML developers to ensure seamless integration with hardware and backend components.
• Work closely with the Product Manager and other team members to understand requirements and deliver user-friendly mobile solutions.
• Optimize applications for performance, usability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely fixes and updates.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation processes.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in Android application development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
• Experience working with REST APIs, Bluetooth or IoT integrations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
• Must be willing to relocate to and work on-site at VIT University, Vellore for the duration of the project.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with apps involving hardware-software communication or AI/ML visualization.
• Exposure to projects involving academic or research collaboration.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 15 months

Pay: ₹40,000.00 per month
