Android Developer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining high-performance native Android applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Android SDK, modern development practices, and a keen interest or experience in integrating Android applications with IoT (Internet of Things) devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop advanced Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java, optimized for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and embedded engineers, to define and implement IoT-centric features.
• Integrate with IoT devices via Bluetooth (BLE), Wi-Fi, MQTT, or custom protocols, ensuring seamless communication between Android apps and physical hardware.
• Work with RESTful APIs and real-time data streams to connect Android apps to cloud-based back-end services and IoT platforms.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and responsiveness on various Android devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues between app and IoT devices.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance IoT-mobile synergy.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, modularity, and automated testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in native Android app development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Android UI/UX design principles and responsive layouts.
• Solid knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and debugging tools.
• Familiarity with MVVM architecture, clean code principles, and reactive programming.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, Firebase).
• Exposure to IoT communication protocols like BLE, MQTT, or similar.
• Proficient with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
