API Automation Tester + Java Scripting

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Testing
• Strong expertise in API Automation Testing and Java Scripting
• Proficiency with Selenium for automation testing
• Experience with REST API testing tools like Postman for manual testing and Rest Assured or Karate for automation
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• Good knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with MySQL
• Familiarity with MongoDB, JSON queries, and DB concepts
• Ability to design and build automation frameworks from scratch
• Proven ability to write and execute scripts using REST APIs
• Effective communication skills and ability to independently manage multiple work streams

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for APIs using Java and relevant frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement testing strategies
• Enhance and maintain automation frameworks ensuring scalability and reusability
• Perform manual and automated API testing to ensure high product quality
• Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and comprehensive documentation
• Execute BDD-based test scenarios using Cucumber and integrate with CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues
• Conduct database validation using SQL and MongoDB to ensure data integrity
• Participate in code reviews, defect triage meetings, and provide test status updates
• Ensure that testing practices are aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals
