How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

The BI Application Developer will play a pivotal role in planning, executing and delivering the enterprise data and analytics initiatives following industry standard practices and tools. The BI Application Developer role will provide services such as business intelligence, market/customer research and analysis, and dashboard/scorecard creation. This role will require the ability to understand business requirements, design technical solutions, and work with a wide range of business users and technical team members. The BI Application Developer role will require a variety of skills including: data modeling, ETL, SQL, problem analysis, and data exploration. The ideal candidate will be based in Goa, India.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Proactively work with business users and source system analysts to understand and gain expertise in business process and data relationships.
• Program, test, implement and maintain any data extraction programs necessary to extract the data from source systems and move to the data warehouse. Utilize global development teams to develop ETL and Analytical solutions.
• Develop business universes (semantic layer for ad-hoc reporting), reports, dashboards, and other business user facing analytics solutions.
• Adhere to the organizational development process and standards.
• Work with security team to secure the data. Work with the system, database, and application administrators to ensure that application performs within the defined performance parameters.
• Proactively recommend and implement enhancements and/or upgrades.
• Provide technical support to business clients by performing detailed root cause analysis and developing a solution to prevent production issues. Proactively develop and supervise checklists to eliminate future issues.
• Provide on-call support on a rotation basis.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or another technical scientific discipline.

• Experience in developing positive relationships with internal business and IT groups

• Experience in SAP, Power BI, Business Objects, Data Services is helpful
