Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in ETL testing, SQL, Data Warehousing, and Data Validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across complex data pipelines and warehouse systems. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in automation, database validation, and end-to-end testing of data transformation processes.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in ETL/Data Testing and QA.

Strong proficiency in SQL (complex joins, aggregations, subqueries, stored procedures).

Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, Fact & Dimension tables, SCD Types).

Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar.

Experience building automation solutions using Python, PyTest, Selenium, or other testing frameworks.

Strong knowledge of data validation techniques, data reconciliation, and data profiling.

Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery) is a plus.

Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hive, Hadoop, Spark) is advantageous.

Experience with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for ETL and Data Warehouse projects.

Build and maintain ETL automation frameworks for efficient data validation.

Perform complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target data mappings and transformations.

Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across multiple data layers (Source, Staging, Target).

Test business rules, data transformations, aggregations, and data quality checks.

Develop test cases, test scripts, and test data for batch and real-time ETL processes.

Perform regression, integration, and performance testing for large datasets.

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and data logic.

Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and track issues to closure.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

Ensure automation tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
