Overview
Job PurposeWe are looking for a proficient Cloud Support Engineer (Level 2) to join our Managed Services team. You will support multiple customer environments, ensure platform stability, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to continuous improvement across our Azure estate. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working in a fast-paced managed services environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience supporting Azure cloud environments in an IT support or service delivery role.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS services (Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Load Balancing, etc.).
- Good understanding of identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory).
- Practical experience with monitoring and alerting, including DCR configuration and Log Analytics.
- Proficient in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar).
- Understanding of Azure Policy for governance, compliance, and resource management.
- Good understanding of ITIL-aligned service management practices.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call / out-of-hours rota.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships, demonstrating trust, transparency, and proactive engagement.
- Knowledge of Grafana, Cloudockit, AKS, Azure SQL, Power Automate, or IaC tooling.
- ITIL Foundation or AZ-305 certification.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support across Azure infrastructure and platform services.
- Troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, networking, identity, and monitoring services.
- Monitor, triage, and action alerts using Azure Monitor, Data Collection Rules (DCR), Log Analytics, and KQL.
- Execute operational tasks, standard changes, and service requests in line with governance and security best practices.
- Experience working in a managed services or multi-tenant environment.
- Manage and support customer environments securely at scale using Azure Lighthouse.
- Handle CSP licence management and customer onboarding through Microsoft Partner Center (mandatory).
- Produce monthly service and platform reports, including KPIs, incidents, performance insights, and improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support handovers, audits, and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in an on-call / out-of-hours support rota.
- Work within ITIL-aligned processes including incident, major incident, problem, and change management.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
