Position Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines while exploring to modernize with machine learning (ML) initiatives. This role involves developing robust data manipulation, ETL processes, ensuring efficient data integration, and collaborating with data scientists to deploy efficient models into production. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering, ETL workflows, and an understanding of ML operationalization
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load structured and unstructured data.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across various data sources.
- Work with cloud-based data platforms (OCI, GCP, Azure) and data warehouses (BigQuery).
- Automate data workflows using Python, Oracle SQL, GCP CDF, or similar orchestration tools.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and AI teams to support data-driven initiatives.
- Stay informed about ML developments and explore ways to integrate ML into ETL processes in the future.
- Assist in developing feature engineering pipelines and researching MLOps best practices for potential future implementations.

- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python, Oracle SQL, and ETL frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines, APIs, and data streaming
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms
- Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and big data processing.
- Interest or exposure to machine learning lifecycle management and tools is a plus.
