Job Title: Associate Architect - Data (Power BI)

Experience: 7 to 10 Years

Location: Bangalore/ Mumbai / Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and publishing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Cloud, while leading the transition of existing Tableau assets into Power BI. This role requires strong data analysis capabilities and the ability to integrate data from multiple sources including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, AWS, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses, to generate comprehensive and actionable dashboards for key stakeholders including senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of dashboards and reports from Tableau to Power BI, ensuring functional parity and performance optimization.
• Design and build end-to-end Power BI dashboards aligned with business requirements and visualization best practices
• Connect and integrate data from various sources (including but not limited to GCP, Azure, BigQuery, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, etc.).
• Develop data models, semantic layers and perform data transformations using Power Query and DAX, and ensure data accuracy.
• Publish and maintain dashboards on Power BI Cloud with the right access control and governance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights and KPIs
• Optimize report performance and troubleshoot issues related to data connectivity, transformation, and visualization
• Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and visual clarity in all reports.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from both Data Lakes and Data Warehouses to support reporting needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth BI migration, testing, and deployment.
  
  

• Proven experience with Power BI (Cloud) – data story telling, dashboard creation, data modeling, and publishing.
• Hands-on experience in Tableau (and other BI tools) to Power BI migration projects.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with data sources and ETL pipelines.
• Validate migrated reports against Tableau versions to confirm accuracy and completeness.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
• Strong data analysis and data visualization skills
• Solid experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience connecting to and working with data from BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data architecture.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates ability to influence and manage stakeholders, effectively guiding teams and fostering strong relationships across key stakeholders to achieve departmental goals.
• Ability to identify risks and guide teams to help put in place suitable mitigation strategies.
  
  

• Working experience or knowledge of Tableau and PowerBI’s equivalent features in Tableau.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Bi deployments, or other data-related tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile working methods, and any Project management related certifications (for example PMP, ACP, PgMP, Scrum Certified etc) is a plus.
