Automation Test Engineer

Role description

• 
  Develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Collaborate with the QA and development teams to identify test cases that can be automated.

• Convert manual test cases into automated test scripts

• Participate in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test data that are suitable for automation.

• Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to ensure software functionality and performance.

• Track and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

• Assist in implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks, ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and modular.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation framework, incorporating new tools and practices as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and product managers, to understand the system architecture and testing requirements.

• Document test results, automated scripts, and defects, ensuring proper traceability and reporting to stakeholders.

• Manage and maintain test environments, test data, and configurations needed for automated test execution.

• Ensure test environments are consistent and reliable, reducing flakiness in automated test results.

• Generate reports on test execution, code coverage, and defects found during automated testing.

• Provide insights on test automation effectiveness and areas for improvement.

• Troubleshoot issues in the test automation framework and scripts, ensuring reliable and accurate test execution.

• Analyze failures in test cases and work with developers to diagnose the root causes.
