Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Tester with strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies and Automation Testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating large-scale data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and automating test cases in a cloud-native environment. The role requires hands-on experience in testing data ingestion, transformation, and processing using big data tools and cloud services, particularly within Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for big data applications and pipelines.
• Perform data validation and data quality checks on structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Test ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehouses built using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Lakes, Blob Storage, etc.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools like PyTest.
• Create and maintain test data for various testing scenarios.
• Develop SQL and Spark queries to validate data across multiple stages of the pipeline.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, log, and track bugs and performance issues, and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage and quality.
• Provide test reports, metrics, and documentation.
  
  

Requirements

AQA Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience

Cloud services: Azure: ADF, Databricks, ADLS gen 2, Synapse, Pureview

Orchestration: Apache Airflow

Programming skills: Python, SQL
