Job Title: Quality Engineer – Playwright / TypeScript Automation, Manual Testing & Technical Support Location: Hinjewadi Phase-1, Pune (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time Experience Range: 2 – 5 years
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Quality Engineer who will champion both automated and manual quality practices while providing essential technical support to internal teams. You will own Playwright-based automation in TypeScript, execute thorough manual tests across all environments (Local/Dev, UAT, Production) and act as a first-line technical resource for Google Workspace administration. Your contributions will directly shape release confidence and day-to-day productivity across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Automation Testing – Playwright + TypeScript
- Design, develop and maintain scalable Playwright frameworks and test suites written in TypeScript.
- Integrate automated tests into Bitbucket Pipelines (or equivalent CI/CD) to safeguard every merge.
- Build reusable page objects, fixtures and custom reporters to maximise coverage and stability.
- Extend coverage to REST/GraphQL APIs using Postman collections or REST-assured.
- Analyse test results, report defects and drive continuous improvements to test effectiveness.
2. Manual & Exploratory Testing
- Plan and execute functional, regression, smoke and exploratory tests in Local/Dev, UAT and Production environments.
- Translate requirements and user stories into comprehensive, traceable test cases.
- Log, triage and track defects through their lifecycle in Jira, collaborating closely with developers, product managers and designers.
- Contribute to release readiness reviews by providing clear test metrics and risk assessments.
3. Technical Support & Administration
- Provide Level 1/2 support for internal users, managing accounts, groups and aliases in Google Admin Console.
- Own the onboarding/offboarding checklist, ensuring timely provisioning and revocation of access.
- Troubleshoot routine hardware, software and SaaS issues; document and escalate systemic problems when required.

Must-have
- 2–5 yrs Playwright + TypeScript automation, plus solid manual testing of complex web apps
- Strong grasp of modern QA theory; experienced in functional, regression and exploratory testing
- CI/CD proficiency (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar) and hands-on Google Workspace/Admin Console administration
- Sharp analytical, troubleshooting and documentation abilities; clear, confident communicator
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Good-to-have Jira for defect tracking and Bitbucket/Git for version control & code reviews
