Salary: 4 to 6 Years @14 LPA / 6 to 10 Years @23 LPA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with 4 to 10 years of expertise in test automation, specializing in Cypress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to testing strategies, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Cypress for UI and API testing.
• Lead end-to-end automation testing efforts for web applications, ensuring maximum test coverage.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests using Cypress.
• Optimize test execution speed and stability through best practices in Cypress automation.
• Implement mocking, stubbing, and intercepting API calls to improve test reliability.
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior automation engineers on Cypress best practices.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify test cases and automation strategies.
• Maintain and improve test dashboards, reporting tools, and test documentation.
• Troubleshoot test failures, analyze logs, and provide detailed bug reports.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability of test automation frameworks.
• Stay updated with the latest Cypress updates, JavaScript/TypeScript advancements, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4 to 10 years of experience in automation testing, with strong expertise in Cypress.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing and optimizing Cypress test scripts.
• Experience with Cypress advanced concepts like custom commands, intercepts, fixtures, and data-driven testing.
• Strong background in API testing using Cypress (cy.request, cy.intercept) or other tools like Postman.
• Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and executing tests in headless mode.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Experience working with JIRA, TestRail, or other test management tools.
• Strong debugging skills using browser DevTools and Cypress Dashboard.
• Experience in performance testing, visual regression testing, and cross-browser testing using Cypress.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in testing modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of other test automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, WebdriverIO.
• Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Mocha, Chai) and writing Gherkin test cases.
• Understanding of security testing and accessibility testing best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹2,300,000.00 per year
