About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Azure L2 Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. The candidate will support and execute Azure projects such as subscription-to-subscription migrations, disaster recovery (DR) setups, managed service provider (MSP) operations, and DevOps automation using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
This role involves working closely with senior architects, DevOps teams, and clients to implement and support secure, cost-effective, and resilient Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Azure Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources (VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, App Services, Storage Accounts, etc.)
- Manage sub-to-sub and tenant-to-tenant migrations, including resource inventory, validation, and post-migration checks.
- Support Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Backup configurations for DR setup and testing.
- Monitor Azure resource utilization and optimize costs using Azure Cost Management and Advisor.
DevOps & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for provisioning Azure resources.
- Collaborate with developers for code deployments to App Services, AKS, and Function Apps.
- Troubleshoot build/deploy issues across environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
Managed Services & Support
- Provide L2-level support for Azure environments under managed services (incident resolution, patching, scaling, cost tracking).
- Handle service requests, perform scheduled maintenance, and assist with compliance tasks.
- Manage Azure Policies, RBAC, Identity & Access (AAD roles, PIM), and Key Vaults.
Security & Compliance
- Work with the security team to implement Azure Defender, Security Center, and Sentinel.
- Assist in maintaining network security (NSGs, firewalls, VPNs, private endpoints).
- Participate in vulnerability and configuration reviews.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Prepare technical documentation for migrations, DR setups, and deployments.
- Maintain runbooks, topology diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
- Communicate technical updates and incidents clearly with project managers and clients.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, IAM).
- Proven experience with Azure Migrations (Sub-to-Sub, Tenant-to-Tenant).
- Working knowledge of Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Backup Vaults.
- Proficiency in Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with Linux & Windows administration.
- Basic understanding of DNS, SSL, Front Door, and Application Gateway.
