Back End Developer - The Sleep Company

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer II with deep experience in building scalable backend systems and modern APIs. If you’re passionate about engineering best practices and want to work at the intersection of performance, reliability, and innovation, this role is for you.

• Design, build, and maintain backend applications using Node.js, NestJS, and ExpressJS
• Develop and optimize GraphQL APIs, including schema design and resolver logic
• Integrate and manage SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning
• Stay up to date with evolving backend technologies, especially within the GraphQL ecosystem
  

• 2–5 years of experience in backend development using Node.js
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and experience with NestJS and ExpressJS
• Solid knowledge of GraphQL, including schema development and query performance optimization
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and/or DynamoDB
• Proficiency in unit testing with tools like Jest or Mocha
• Familiarity with RESTful API principles and GraphQL server tools like Apollo Server, Prisma (preferred)
