Back End Developer

Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our tech team in Gurgaon. In this role, you’ll work on high-impact projects powering our core travel platform, contributing to the architectural vision, and building scalable backend systems that directly influence the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails.

● Lead and contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and design decisions.

● Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

● Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver features end-to-end.

● Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

● Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using industry best practices.

● Drive engineering excellence through continuous improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability.

Skills & Qualifications

● 4+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails in a production environment.

● Solid understanding of MVC architecture, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, and API design principles.

● Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms.

● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems.

● Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

● Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture.

● Familiarity with GraphQL or frontend frameworks (React/Vue).

● Interest in performance monitoring and data-driven optimizations.
