Role Overview:
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be working on our Python-based ORM and applications. You'll have a direct hand in developing high-performance systems that not only meet but exceed expectations for scalability and security. Collaborating with global teams, you will craft sophisticated solutions that will shape the future of our product.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain and improve existing systems with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, suggesting alternative approaches, and leading the engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines.
• Build reusable components and packages for future use.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers to ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality technology solutions.
• Manage Kubernetes and Docker-based global infrastructure deployments.
• Innovate and contribute to ongoing improvements in our infrastructure and product.

We’re Looking For Someone With:

• Experience: 3-4 years of hands-on experience with backend technologies like Python and Django.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong experience with SQL (Postgres preferred) and NoSQL databases.
• In-depth knowledge of version control and API management.
• Experience designing and deploying scalable, distributed, multi-region systems.
• Expertise with AWS services like ELB, Fargate, Lambda, RDS, Beanstalk, and more.
• Tools & Technologies:
• Proficiency in Python, Django, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and more.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Airflow.
• Leadership: Ability to lead the development of large features end-to-end with a strong sense of ownership and leadership quality.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience at a growth-stage Internet/Software company.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks experience.
• Understanding of front-end technologies (ReactJS).
• Operational excellence in monitoring & managing production services.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS database architecture and system patterns.
