Education: B.E. Computer Science/IT degree (or any other engineering discipline)
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
Work Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM IST
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with database development on Oracle/PostgreSQL/Vertica
- Experience with ETL tools.
- Experience with Pentaho is preferred or with Informatica or other similar ETL tools, with an understanding ofMetadata Ingestion
- Experience with the reporting platforms such as Tableau
- 2+ years of experience with databases such as Postgres/GBQ is good to have
- Experience with Web analytics or Business Intelligence tools
- Strong communication,strong SQL and great documentation is a must
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or Python is an added advantage
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting is good to have
- Understanding of one or more of: Omniture, Exact Target, Google Analytics, DFP, Salesforce
- Self-motivated, willingness to learn new technologies and business and willing to take initiative beyond basic
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop and support multiple data quality projectsin relational databases(Oracle/PostgreSQL) as well as non- traditional databases (Vertica/MongoDB/Hive)
- Analyze business requirements, design and implement required SQL based test scenarios and implement ETL processes
- Work closely with teams outside of IT (i.e. Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, Sales) to understand data quality requirements
- Build an enterprise level data quality validation inventory for different data sources within new Pentaho framework
- Build MDI components in Pentaho to support data quality checks
- Connect and integrate complex datasets for better analysis and data validation
- Translate SQL into terms that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
