Business Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) to join our Professional Services team in the Life Sciences domain. In this role, you will contribute to solution implementations by defining functional requirements, supporting quality assurance efforts, and assisting in end-user training.

The solution is a collaborative, transaction-based price management application built on a Java-based architecture. Professionals with experience in Professional Services – Life Sciences (LS) will find this background highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to implementation projects as part of the Professional Services team
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements and use cases
• Understand and communicate any custom requirements to the implementation team
• Assist users in understanding new product enhancements and how changes impact their workflows
• Provide clarification on test results to customers and internal teams
• Review product release notes to identify new features and ensure test coverage
• Perform gap analysis between standard (out-of-the-box) test cases and customer-specific needs
• Support QA efforts by explaining business workflows, providing test data, and assisting in execution
• Review and validate test results to ensure all requirements are met
• Analyze issues raised during testing, verify alignment with business requirements, and log clear, valid defects

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or a related functional role
• Exposure to Professional Services – Life Sciences (LS) is an added advantage
• Exposure to business process modeling and process improvement initiatives (preferred)
• Basic understanding of databases, application servers, and Java (technical aptitude is a plus)
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, test design, and QA processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and modify approaches accordingly
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Demonstrates professionalism in written communication and stakeholder interactions
