The Business Analyst for the EMEA Innovation Team will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements to support the successful execution of technical projects in collaboration with the EMEA Analytics team. This role will ensure that projects align with business objectives, deliver measurable value, and improve operational efficiency. The Business Analyst will report to the Technical Project Manager and work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

About the Role:
The Business Analyst within the EMEA Innovation Team will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to support the effective delivery of technical projects in partnership with the EMEA Analytics team. This role ensures that all initiatives align with business priorities, provide measurable value, and enhance operational efficiency. Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, the Business Analyst will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business requirements for technical projects, ensuring clear and well-documented specifications, entering & keeping them updated in DevOps.
- Work closely with the Data Science & Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Help manage the backlog on DevOps for all teams.
- Support the Technical Project Manager in project planning, tracking, and execution using DevOps tools.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and business process mapping to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
- Assist in risk assessment, dependency tracking, and resource planning for ongoing projects.
- Develop business cases, impact assessments, and success metrics to measure the value of delivered solutions.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Innovation, Head of Analytics, and Head of Operations.
- Support the creation of training materials and documentation to enhance adoption and usability of new solutions.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices within business analysis and project execution.
- Minimum of 3+ years of Business Analyst experience in a technical, data, or innovation-driven environment.
- Fluent in English, with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in business process modelling, requirements gathering, and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud applications and Agile methodologies.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or other project tracking tools.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and understanding of data analytics and reporting concepts.
- Strong understanding of data workflows, ETL processes, and SQL is advantageous but not required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
